04 April 2022National Planning Framework 4 - submission

The Scottish Older People's Assembly made a submission to the National Planning Framework 4 consultation, highlighting some key issues that planners need to consider to ensure that the needs of older people are addressed.

Diana Findley, SOPA Chair, previously wrote a Thinkpiece to inform the NPF4 development

The National Planning Framework (NPF) is a long term plan for Scotland that sets out where development and infrastructure is needed.

Scotland’s fourth National Planning Framework (NPF4) will be a long term plan looking to 2045 that will guide spatial development, set out national planning policies, designate national developments and highlight regional spatial priorities.

It will be part of the development plan, and so influence planning decisions across Scotland. Further information is available at https://www.transformingplanning.scot/national-planning-framework/what-is-the-national-planning-framework/
